Red Devils: here is Tedesco’s selection to face Italy and (video)

Domenico Tedesco revealed his selection this Friday for the Red Devils’ Nations League matches in Italy and against . A list from which Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku are notably absent.

Four players enter the A core: Malick Fofana (), Cyril Ngonge (Naples), Matte Smets (Genk) and Maarten Vandevoordt (RB Leipzig). Thomas Meunier, Julien Duranville, Artuur Vermeeren and Thomas Kaminski, called up in September, are no longer present in the selection of 23 players.

Lukaku, 31, had already missed the last rally because he was finalizing his move from Chelsea to Napoli. De Bruyne, who had expressed his frustration after the defeat in France, was injured two weeks ago in the Champions League with Manchester City.

Regarding the other players who were not recalled, here is what Tedesco explained at the press conference. “Duranville has a hamstring injury and Meunier also asked us to work individually in because of calf discomfort. Kaminski is out for personal reasons. For Arthur, we decided to give him minutes with the U21s. He is playing a little again in Leipzig but we think it is the right decision to give him rhythm with the hopes.

Belgium occupies 3rd place in Group A2 of the Nations League with 3 points in two matches after a victory against Israel (3-1) and a defeat in France (2-0).
