4 injured in an accident at more than 120 km/h in a town in Tubize

A single Alfa Romeo car involved hit a curb, then a pole, before hitting two parked vehicles which were thrown against homes.

The driver of the car involved fled.

The three passengers aged between 16 and 25, all from Tubize, were injured to varying degrees and taken to hospital. One of the victims suffered a skull fracture.

“None of the injured were in danger of death this Friday morning. Given the traces of blood discovered on his seat, the driver was apparently also injured. He had not yet been arrested as of Friday noon,” indicated the spokesperson for the Walloon Brabant public prosecutor’s office.

If the circumstances of the swerve have yet to be determined precisely, the automobile forensic expert dispatched to the scene has already provided some elements.

“The car was traveling at more than 120 km/h while we were in a built-up area. The vehicle had false number plates, was neither insured nor in compliance with a technical inspection. The three passengers were arrested. tested positive for narcotics and do not hold a driving license”, further specifies the spokesperson for the prosecution.
