It is a unique concept Perpignan. From Thursday October 31, 2024, avenue Maréchal Leclerc will have a new bar: the Wall Str’eat. It will open at No. 37, replacing the former Dry States. And as its name suggests, its operation is inspired by the stock market.

Prices change every 100 seconds

We reassure you: there is no need to be a seasoned financier to consume at Wall Str’eat. However, it is important to keep in mind the concept of this establishment (it is not an independent bar, it operates under a brand license) which is truly unlike any other.

” It’s a trading bar. People will be able to come and play on the stock market, like on Wall Street,” explains Gwen Marguet, the director. Here, prices are not fixed and reset every 100 seconds. The challenge for “traders-drinkers” is to invest (and therefore order) at the right time to get the best prices.

Like a real trading room, several screens will display the prices of different drinks. Prices are set by a computer which will analyze supply and demand. Customers will be able to order via a free application.

Stock market crash can lower prices

Concretely, if a beer (to be consumed in moderation) is ordered more than the others, prices risk rising. Conversely, a slightly neglected alcohol (or another brand of beer) should see its price decrease. With this operation, a pint can sometimes cost the price of a half.

As in real life, krachs boursiers will perform at Wall Street. “The bar will light up red and an alarm will sound. It can happen at any time and even several times in the evening! It’s time to get some good deals since all prices will fall,” warns Gwen Marguet.

On the menu, you will find the classics (beers, whiskey, gin, sodas, etc.) as well as cocktails. “We will have creations that you won’t find elsewhere. We will propose cocktails glitters (with glitter, editor’s note). It’s very girly! », the director is already enthusiastic.

The establishment will also offer a multitude of arranged rums and of shooters (popcorn, smurfs, caramel, etc.) by the meter or directly by the bottle. Good to know: a range of non-alcoholic gin, whiskey and vodka is planned.

American street food and broadcast matches

It will be possible to eat to absorb all that. “We are banking on American street food. We don’t want a big card. We want something of quality and innovative,” insists Gwen Marguet. In addition to snacks, Wall Str’eat will serve several hot-dogs and burgers.

For the animation, the director announces that major sporting events will be broadcast: USAP, Catalans Dragons, but also Champions League during the week. “If we have a big match in the afternoon, we will adjust our opening hours,” reassures the boss.

The inauguration – October 31 – coincides with Halloween. The bar intends to mark the occasion. Numerous activities are planned, as well as a DJ set provided by Jeremy Cricket and Alex Swift. “Every Saturday we will have a DJ . We will also welcome a guestper month,” concludes Gwen Marguet.
