Jeep lowers Compass price by up to $6,000 for 2025

The Jeep Compass somehow manages to do well in terms of sales on Canadian soil. In the third quarter of 2024, it was even the brand’s second best-selling model in Canada, behind the Wrangler, but ahead of the Grand Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee L. For the 2025 model year, the manufacturer is aiming to make it more attractive by reducing its entry price, which now falls below $35,000.

The Sport 4×4 version, which was listed at a price of $41,015 for 2024, sees its price reduced by more than $6,000 to now reach $34,995, freight and preparation costs included. This is an attitude that goes against the grain of the industry which has tended, in recent years, to increase the price of the models sold. Note, however, that the equipment of this Sport version has been reduced, to allow the manufacturer to display a more attractive entry-level price. For example, the 2024 Sport Edition’s 10.1-inch infotainment system is replaced by an 8.4-inch system.

The other versions also see their prices changed, sometimes upwards.

Declination Prix 2024 Prix 2025 Difference
Sport 4×4 41 015 $ 34 995 $ – 6020 $
North 4×4 43 915 $ 41 995 $ – 1920 $
Altitude 4×4 47 415 $ 46 995 $ – 420 $
Trailhawk 4×4 48 015 $ 48 995 $ + 980 $
Limited 4×4 48 915 $ 48 995 $ + 80 $
Trailhawk Elite 4×4 52 010 $

If the least equipped versions suffer a price drop, the better equipped versions see their price increased. At first glance, the equipment does not appear to be drastically changed for these versions, according to what is contained on the Jeep Canada website.

The other change to note is the disappearance of the Trailhawk Elite version, which sat at the top of the range. However, it is possible to obtain the same level of equipment as the 2024 Trailhawk Elite version with option groups in the 2025 Trailhawk version.

No mechanical changes

The Jeep Compass has been reworked for the 2023 model year with a new turbocharged powertrain, standard on all trims. The 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder produces 200 horsepower, while its torque reaches 221 pound-feet, making it one of the most powerful production engines in the entire category. The 8-speed automatic is the only one available, while 4-wheel drive is standard. The Trailhawk version has a low range to improve performance in difficult driving situations.

The manufacturer is focusing on safety equipment for this model, in particular with driver attention detection, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection and lane tracking. However, certain equipment such as blind spot detection is not standard on the base Sport version.

The 2025 Jeep Compass will arrive in dealerships this fall.
