Having a homosexual relationship with a teenager, a convict ended the life of his friend who harassed “his” boy.
Since Thursday, September 12, this forty-year-old, re-convict, living in Salé, has not given any sign of life since he left his home. Was he involved again in some murder case or something and thrown back into prison? No. At least that’s what his family learned when they knocked on the police’s doors. Was he then the victim of a traffic accident? Nor, because he was not found in any hospital. Where did he go? In addition, his family members are far from thinking that he could travel without informing them. Because, first of all, he rarely traveled and if he intended to go outside the city of Salé, he warned them. We had to wait two weeks later, on Thursday September 19, for him to be found, but with a lifeless body. His body was discovered among trees and grass in the district of Bettana, in Salé.
Alerted, elements of the judicial police reporting to provincial security in Salé rushed to the scene. They found that the body had a serious injury to the chest as well as coagulated blood. They concluded that it was a murder. They quickly identified him since he had a national identity card. In other words, his fingerprints were recorded in police files. All that remained was to find the author(s) of the crime and his motive. The investigations carried out by the investigators were quick to bear fruit. The perpetrator of the crime was identified and arrested the same day, Thursday September 19. This is a repeat offender, also in his forties who was, on the night of the crime, in the company of the victim and two other suspects. They were also arrested.
All four were getting drunk under the stars when an incident broke out between the murderer and the victim. Indeed, among the drinking companions, there was a teenager, a homeless man, who had a homosexual relationship with the perpetrator. Having learned that his friend, the victim, was harassing “his” boy and asking him to give in, he reproached him for his behavior which had nothing to do with the trust and loyalty that their friendship requires. Immediately, the reproaches gave way to insults and finally to bladed weapons. And it was the pedophile who had the last word after stabbing the victim right in the heart. Seeing that things had gone wrong, their two friends fled. They were also arrested and held in police custody. They will be prosecuted for failure to assist a person in danger and failure to report a crime. Both were brought on Saturday, September 28, with the main perpetrator of the crime, before the general prosecutor’s office at the Rabat Court of Appeal.
