It is the case of an alleged Cannes slumlord, unmasked thanks to the floods. This happened ten days ago: certain streets of Cannes were invaded by water after torrential rains. And in a dead end in the Republic district, three young women in distress are saved by neighbors, who discover their existence.

Their “accommodation” is completely flooded. And for good reason, since they live in cellars with just one air vent. No one knew they were there, in undignified conditions.

The suspect is a 39-year-old dentist

But these three women of Filipino nationality, aged 25-26, are not squatters. They paid rent of 450 euros per month. So, quickly, an investigation is opened. The Cannes police were seized and quickly found the owner of the premises.

But it is his profile that is surprising: he is a 39-year-old man, a health professional, a dentist in Cannes. After 48 hours in police custody, he emerged free, without legal proceedings for the moment, but the investigation continues. He probably didn’t imagine that a flood would reveal this situation…

In any case, this made it possible to get out of there these three young women, who declined the help offered by the city of Cannes, according to -Matin. They preferred to find other accommodation themselves.
