It’s annoying when that happens. On September 24, a rain of human sewage fell on the streets of Nanning, a city in southern China. The cause was workers who were testing the pressure of pipes that had just been installed. A test which obviously did not prove conclusive, since an explosion occurred, causing a geyser of excrement 10 meters high. Gravity inevitably doing its job, this orange rain fell on the pedestrians and motorists present in the surrounding area.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, apart from hundreds of broken egos and some trauma, inevitable when you are the victim of a tsunami of fecal matter. The damage is only material. Authorities revealed that the explosion was so powerful that an excavator overturned at the site.

“I’m drenched in poop… My car is splattered yellow, it’s ruined”

The images come from security cameras, as well as a vehicle’s on-board camera. On this one, we can see the cloud in the distance before piles of droppings hammer the drivers’ windshields. Lucky people next to unsuspecting pedestrians who were also sprayed by this orange shower as they strolled along the avenue. Some footage showed some of them on bikes, forced to ride in this swamp of poop.

This incident was quickly taken care of by the local authorities who were responsible for cleaning up everything. From now on, means will be put in place to prevent this type of situation from happening again.
