For the second day of the Champions League, Real Madrid is expected in Lille on Wednesday, with Kylian Mbappé finally present despite his left thigh injury. Lille supporters are secretly hoping for a victory against the Madrid giants.
Lille faces its biggest challenge in the Champions League: facing Real Madrid and its 15 titles in the competition at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, where Kylian Mbappé could make his return to France with the great from Spain. In one of the Losc HQs, the supporters are impatient.
“We welcome the biggest club in the world”

“I already have chills for tonight. We are hosting the biggest club in the world. All the great players have passed through Madrid, all like Ronaldo, Zidane and today Mbappé and Vinicius. It was a dream to receive the Real Madrid at home and it comes true this evening,” relishes Franck.

This match is a form of David versus Goliath. The Spanish club has a budget of one billion euros, ten times that of Lille. A squad made up of stars also points out Isabelle. “They’re monsters but there have already been miracles. Real have already been beaten. Of course we’re not starting favorites, that’s for sure. We’re even starting at 2,000 to one. But if we don’t believe it…”, she explains.
“We just hope for an achievement,” continues this woman from LOSC. The stadium will be full this Wednesday evening with 50,000 people, a prestigious display for the northern club which is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year.
