Pan American Energy-owned Southern Energy and Golar LNG will install a natural gas liquefaction vessel for export markets in the Gulf of San Matías in Argentina’s Rio Negro province starting in 2027. This is what the main Argentinian newspapers reported. This is the vessel “Hilli Episeyo”, which will transport gas from Vaca Muerta, and which has already produced more than eight million tonnes of LNG and loaded more than 120 LNG carriers in Cameroon. “

As a result of the technical analysis, the Gulf of San Matías, in the province of Rio Negro, was recognized as the best available location for the Hilli Episeyo vessel,” the companies said in a statement cited by Ambito Financiero. The companies’ decision was based on the water depth, low wave height and similarity to other coasts where ships with similar characteristics are already installed.
