PSG. In your opinion, is Luis Enrique’s sidelining of Ousmane Dembélé risky?

Ousmane Dembélé will not set foot on the pitch at the Emirates Stadium this Tuesday evening (9 p.m.). The PSG striker was left out of the group by his coach Luis Enrique for the second day of the Champions League, two weeks after the Parisian victory against Girona (1-0). Dembélé is not injured, however, he even performed well against in Ligue 1 on Friday September 27, despite his lack of efficiency in the last gesture.

“If someone doesn’t meet their obligations to the team, it means they’re not ready”explained the Spanish coach at a press conference. The sidelining of Dembélé therefore appears to be a sanction from Luis Enrique. “It’s not a problem between a player and his coach, it’s a problem between a player and his commitment to the team”said Enrique, who ensures that there was no argument between them.

“The best decision for the team”

PSG will therefore be without a pillar of their attack when facing Arsenal, a team undefeated since the beginning of August. “I had to make a difficult decision but I consider it to be the best one for the team, without a doubt”assures Luis Enrique. Is it still risky?

Since the start of the season, Ousmane Dembélé has scored four goals for Saint-Germain, making him the top Parisian scorer behind Bradley Barcola (6 goals).
