A discouraging statistic for the TFC: the Violets have not beaten Lyon in Ligue 1 for 10 years, with a last victory on August 16 (2-1). They remain in 15 matches without a victory, including 7 matches played at the Stadium. Carles Martinez Novell’s players will be able to count on a full group, facing a confident Lyonnais after their victory in the Europa League (2-0) against Olympiakos.
Tribute to Brice Taton
Before the match, the Toulouse Stadium pays tribute to Brice Taton, a TFC supporter who died 15 years ago, on September 29, 2009, the victim of a violent attack on the sidelines of a match against Partizan Belgrade.
After the match, the Toulouse club also receives several medal-winning athletes from the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, including boxers Sofiane Oumiha and Billal Bennama. Then the day will not be over at the Stadium, which will be the scene of the clash between TFC and Olympique de Marseille, for the third day of the D2 championship.
