Double attempted homicide in Agenais: what we know

Boé woke up groggy this Sunday morning, after the stabbing of two individuals on Saturday September 28. Both were stabbed several times in Montalembert Park, around 9 p.m.

Seriously injured, they were taken care of by the firefighters after alerting the neighborhood, and were transported to the hospital center. This Sunday morning, the vital prognosis of one of them would no longer be in jeopardy. The second, however, would still be in critical condition. According to our information, these two men do not live in Boé but would usually frequent the park in the evening.

Just like the alleged perpetrator of the beating, who was taken into custody for attempted homicide on Saturday evening. Drunk at the time of the events, the individual, who resides in Agenais, is unfavorably known to the police and justice services.

What about public lighting?

This Sunday morning, the mayor of Boé Pascale Luguet wanted to remind people that “there are no insecurity problems in Montalembert. I have never received feedback in this direction from the national and municipal police.” However, residents whose houses adjoin the natural area have been complaining of regular nuisances for several months. The councilor concedes that in the evening, the park can be squatted by drunken individuals. “It’s not a dangerous place. But inevitably the question of public lighting arises. I have always opposed the switching off of public lighting at night. It is clear that six months after this decision by the Agglomeration, we note an incident…”
