The battle for the title of champion of England continues at the frantic pace of the last two years. For its second match in a row, Manchester City left points on the Newcastle pitch (1-1). After five consecutive games as a scorer, Erling Haaland’s streak ended this Saturday. For its part, Arsenal won against Leicester (4-2) to come back level with the Skyblues. But the sixth day was also the scene of several records.

Brentford, the team from the first minute

For the reception of West Ham, Brentford conceded a draw (1-1). A result which does not suit the two teams since the Bees remain 12th in the standings while the Hammers are 14th. But the team coached by Dane Thomas Frank scored once again in the first minute of the match. Already a scorer after 22 seconds on the Tottenham pitch, Bryan Mbeumothe former player, did it again this Saturday against West Ham. The Cameroonian became the second player in Premier League history to score a goal in the first minute of a match on consecutive days. He joins Sergio Aguero (Manchetser City) who achieved this performance in 2019. On the City pitch during the 4th day, Yoane Wissa, the former player, opened the scoring after a few seconds. Brentford thus becomes the first team in the history of the championship to score an opening goal in three consecutive matches.

Palmer, express quadruplet

Chelsea were scared against Brighton (4-2), especially with the errors of their goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. But the Blues can count on the talent of the England international Cole Palmer. The former Manchester City player scored a quadruple, including a magnificent free kick, in the space of 20 minutes. He becomes the first player in Premier League history to score a quadruple in one spell. The second already of his career. Since arriving in London, Palmer has scored 19 goals in 18 games at Stamford Bridge.

First victory for Everton

After four defeats and a draw, Everton secured their first Premier League victory this season against Crystal Palace (2-1). Thanks to McNeil’s double, the Mersey team is breathing and hopes to launch its season after three very complicated last exercises. If Mateta did not score for Palace, the French defender Maxence Lacroix delivered his first assist of the season. Another Frenchman was decisive this Saturday. Ibrahima Konaté scored in Liverpool’s victory on the Wolverhampton lawn (1-2). The Reds take first place in the championship.
