20 municipalities in Eure recognized as being in a state of natural disaster

During the night of Tuesday July 30 to Wednesday July 31, 2024, a stormy depression caused significant damage in . Particularly in the department of Eure, part of the territory of which found itself under water. Heavy rainfall caused flooding, accompanied by mudslides.

By ministerial decree of September 23, 2024, published in the Official Journal from September 28, 17 municipalities in Eure were recognized as being in a state of natural disaster. These are Boissey-le-Châtel, Bonneville-Aptot, Le Bosc-du-Theil, Évreux, Fauville, Fleury-la-Forêt, Guichainville, La Heunière, Houlbec-Cocherel, Malleville-sur-le-Bec, Le Mesnil-Fuguet, Saint-Germain-des-Angles, Saint-Léger-du-Gennetey, Saint-Pierre-du-Bosguérard, Le Thuit-de-l’Oison, Le Vieil-Evreux and Voiscreville.

The Eure prefecture indicates on its Twitter account that the victims now have 30 days, until October 28,

“to report their damage to their insurance”.
