Inter dominate Udinese thanks to Lautaro Martinez

Six days after his defeat in the derby against AC Milan (2-1), the reigning Italian champion wasted no time: it only took him 43 seconds to take the lead thanks to Davide Frattesi.

Udinese, leader after the 4th day, equalized through Christian Kabasele (35th), before being knocked out by a double of Lautaro Martinez. The Argentinian, silent until then, restored the advantage to his team in added time of the first period.

The Inter captain brought the score to 3-1 after returning from the locker room (47th) on a cross from Marcus Thuram. Despite the score reduction at the end of the match by Lorenzo Lucca, Simone Inzaghi’s players won their third victory of the season, the first in a month.

They temporarily returned to 3rd place tied (11 pts) with Torino which must still face Lazio on Sunday, and its great rival, AC Milan, winner of Lecce the day before (3-0). Juventus Turin (6th, 9 pts) can overtake them in the event of success on Saturday (6:00 p.m.) on the Genoa field, but Juve remains on three consecutive draws in the league.
