A road accident involving a single vehicle occurred around 1 a.m. on the night of Friday September 27 to Saturday September 28, 2024, on departmental road 201, between Cancale and Saint-Malo (Ille-et-Vilaine). The driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old minor with a driving license, died. Living in Baguer-Pican, he lost control of his car for reasons still unknown.

An injured person in relative emergency
Another victim, from Cancale and aged 19, was injured. She was evacuated by emergency services to the nearest hospital. In total, 18 firefighters were mobilized during the rescue operations.
