discover the date of Ciryl Gane’s return to face Alexander Volkov

The fight between Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov, initially scheduled for October 26 in Abu Dhabi, has been postponed to December 7 during UFC 310 in Las Vegas. The Russian withdrew earlier in the week after an injury.

Ciryl Gane will have to be patient. Earlier in the week, the Frenchman, deprived of UFC this Saturday, learned that his return to the cage, scheduled for October 26, in Abu Dhabi, was postponed. After more than a year out of the octagon, he was booked by the American MMA organization on the UFC 308 card, for a rematch against Alexander Volkov. But the Russian announced his withdrawal, forcing the postponement of the fight.

The date of the duel is now known. This Friday, the organization announced that “Bon Gamin” would make his comeback during UFC 310, scheduled in Las Vegas, on December 7. Ciryl Gane will therefore have to wait a few weeks, while his opponent recovers from his injury.

To get closer to the belt

“I must inform you that my fight on October 26 in Abu Dhabi is canceled due to my knee injury,” Volkov posted earlier this week on Instagram. I’m going to try to get back to the gym so I can fight as soon as possible. Stay tuned and thank you for your support and understanding.”

As a reminder, the native of La Roche-sur-Yon had already beaten his opponent three years ago. But the Russian remains on 4 consecutive victories and is currently ranked third in the premier category, just behind Gane. The winner could get a shot at the heavyweight title.
