Established in 2020 after the legalization of MMA in France, the rules for TV broadcasting have not changed one iota in four years. The fights can be broadcast from 8:30 p.m. while respecting strict conditions, in particular in the name of the protection of young audiences.
Broadcaster of the big UFC Paris 2024 evening this Saturday, RMC Sport must comply with strict broadcasting rules. Set in 2020 by the Superior Audiovisual Council (CSA), when the Ministry of Sports gave its go in practice on French territory, these govern the broadcasting of all fights.
In the name of protecting young audiences, the clashes must be broadcast to the general public at late hours, while retaining the category 4 classification (not recommended for under 16s).
On pay channels or pay platforms, you have to wait until 8:30 p.m. to have access to a televised fight, and even 10:30 p.m. on free broadcasting services (linear and digital), a time supposed to be closed to the youngest.

The last three fights offered in clear on RMC Découverte
RMC Sport thus adapts to these rules by broadcasting for free on its channel Twitch from 6 p.m. the first fights on the Parisian card, notably with the French Oumar Sy, Taylor Lapilus and Nora Cornolle.
From 8:30 p.m., RMC Sport 1 will take over for four fights (including Kévin Jousset, Morgan Charrière and Farès Ziam), before sharing the bill from 10:30 p.m. with RMC Découverte (TNT channel 24) for the three main posters. Moicano-Saint-Denis, Imavov-Allen and Gomis-Brito.
