At the opening of the 6th day of Ligue 1, signed its second victory of the season on the occasion of the reception of a team which does not reassure before playing its second Champions League match (3-0 ).

AJ Auxerre took the scalp of a Champions League team on Friday, opening the 6th day of Ligue 1. Stade Brestois bit the dust, and not just a little (3-0) , on the lawn of the Stade de l’Abbé-Deschamps, a few days before his second match in C1 in Salzburg. Christophe Pélissier’s men, overthrown in last week, this time did not relax their grip after taking the lead. Auxerre imposed its law and deserved its success, with a mixture of efficiency and defensive solidity, against an opponent who completely missed their meeting. Despite the establishment of what looks like his typical team, Eric Roy, suspended and in the stands, saw his group disintegrate and be generally harmless in Burgundy.

First it was Elisha Owusu, imperial in midfield, who took advantage of good work from Lassine Sinayoko, to deceive Marco Bizot with an uncontrolled left strike a little before the half-hour mark (1- 0.26th). Owusu, again, then caused a penalty on a rebound deflected by Fernandes’ arm. Jubal, the Brazilian captain of AJA, transformed without worry to make the break (2-0, 37th). While we expected Brest to wake up in the second half, the Bretons did not do much better and were a little more hunched over. Hamed Traoré, after a high-level control-strike sequence near the cage, gave a little more scope to the Icaunaise advance (3-0, 60th).

Despite the redistribution of the cards, with the interesting entry into play of Mama Baldé, notably author of a scissors sent back to the post in added time (90th + 3), the outcome was agreed. Thanks to this success, Auxerre puts pressure on its rivals in the race to maintain, with the same number of points as its victim of the evening, decidedly behind compared to its progress table. The Brestois will have to show a completely different face on Tuesday, in Austria, to be up to par on the European scene.
