Saturday March 29 will be dedicated to children, with interactive shows and humorous writing workshops, a great opportunity for young ones to discover humor while having fun.

Namur is a Joke: an edition full of laughter

The fourth edition of Namur is a Joke will be held from March 26 to 30, 2025. The program, unveiled by Gui Home, the creator of the festival, will feature a renowned headliner: Paul Mirabel. “We are very proud to announce Paul Mirabel as headliners,” said Gui Home. “His presence embodies the festival’s ambition to offer performances of exceptional quality,” he added.

In addition to Paul Mirabel, well-established comedians like Nawell Madani, Guillermo Guiz, Fanny Ruwet, Issa Doumbia and Olivier de Benoist will also participate in this event. Many other artists will be present, such as Doully, Waly Dia, Sacha Ferra, Topick, Blandine Lehout, Freddy Blin and Jérémy Moriau, as well as several young talents.

New talents and comedy galas

The festival will also offer a stage to emerging comedians like Salim Shady, Sarah Lele, Lorenzo Mancini and Fabio Allibri, thus bringing a touch of originality to this edition. Two galas will be on the program: the first will be presented by Gui Home and Nicolas Lacroix, while the program for the second gala will be announced soon. The Joke XXL evening will once again bring together the best Belgian comedians for the greatest pleasure of festival-goers.

Namur is a Boat and a mystery place

The marquee on Place d’Armes will always serve as the heart of the festival. However, a notable new feature of this edition will be the introduction of “Namur is a Boat”, a stand-up set on a barge, combining humor and gastronomy. In addition, a mystery location will be revealed to host the Joke Une Fois competition and other shows.

The festival will take place in several key locations in the city, such as the Delta, the Grand Manège, the Théâtre de Namur and many others. In 2024, more than 12,000 festival-goers attended 43 shows, 27 of which were sold out.
