Ten people evacuated following an apartment fire in the Val Fleury II residence, Boutonnet district in Montpellier

The Hérault firefighters did not go unnoticed this Thursday, September 26 around 4:30 p.m. on avenue Charles-Flahault, in the Boutonnet district in Montpellier.

It must be said that an apartment fire had just broken out on the first floor of the Val Fleury II residence, located at number 32. After evacuating and bringing around ten people to safety, the fire fighters quickly brought the flames under control. which had taken from the kitchen of the said accommodation.

A person bothered by fumes

For now, the causes remain undetermined. Especially since the apartment was almost empty when the fire started. An investigation is underway. Note that a person inconvenienced by the smoke was treated by emergency services.

She was evacuated for follow-up examinations to the Lapeyronie hospital center from where she emerged a few hours later. As for the other residents, after the premises were ventilated, they were able to return to their homes without incident.
