Traffic was able to resume on one lane only at 7:45 a.m. on one lane only, causing very serious disruptions when leaving Lyon towards the south.

The Fourvière tunnel saturated, Vivier Merle closed

But the south of the city was not an isolated case this morning. Many routes into and out of the metropolis have been paralyzed. The Fourvière tunnel was saturated during rush hours, an accident at Bourgoin-Jallieu on the A43 towards Lyon also slowed down traffic.

The south of Lyon was saturated beyond the situation of the A7 up to Chasse-sur-Rhône, and even from the A47 to Givors and the A46 from Communay (an accident occurred place near Saint-Symphorien-d’Ozon).

The closure of the Vivier-Merle tunnel at Part-Dieu for two months due to work also saturated the sector.
