’s Millennium. For one day, children can also watch over the city

In order to create a countdown to the celebrations of the Millennium of the city of , in 2025, more than 350 watchmen and women, aged 16 to 86, took turns in the shelter-object installed at the top of the castle. At sunrise and sunset, they took turns watching over their city. A privilege that was until then reserved for those over 16. On Saturday, October 12, for one day, children and adolescents, aged between 7 and 15, will also be able to try the experience.

26 places are open, with 20-minute watch slots between 9:30 a.m. and 5:50 p.m., preceded and followed by a welcome and sharing time by the teams of Millénaire Caen 2025 and the WLDN company.

A preparatory workshop

On Saturday, October 5, future watchers will have to attend a mandatory preparatory workshop. Two sessions of approximately one hour will be offered. It is imperative to be available both on October 5 for the preparatory workshop and on October 12 for the watch. The authorization of a legal representative will be required.
