Teralys enters the cocoa market with Nutkao

Teralys, a subsidiary of Al Mada, continues its development in the agro-industry with the acquisition of the Italian group Nutkao. This transaction, which is part of Teralys’ international expansion strategy, marks a decisive turning point for the company, consolidating its position on the European and international market. This acquisition will be finalized after obtaining the necessary administrative authorizations.

Nutkao, founded in 1982, is a major player in the processing of cocoa and vegetable proteins. The group specializes in the production of cocoa, hazelnut and pistachio products, with production units in Italy, Belgium, the United States and Ghana. It markets its products in more than 80 countries, responding to new consumer trends thanks to a notable capacity for innovation.

The acquisition of Nutkao by Teralys is part of an ambitious growth dynamic. It follows the acquisition, in 2023, of the Senegalese group Patisen. This new operation aims to create industrial and commercial synergies between the two entities. Teralys aims to develop new products, while strengthening Nutkao’s presence in existing markets, particularly in Africa, a strategic continent for the company.

This acquisition also demonstrates Teralys’ commitment to valuing African resources and supporting local production, thereby contributing to the growth of African agribusiness. With this approach, the company is strengthening its role as a key player in the development of long-term structuring projects. By combining innovation, expertise and international expansion, Teralys is positioning itself as a key leader in the agribusiness, both in Europe and Africa, and continues to write a new chapter in its success story.
