Chelsea push Mykhailo Mudryk out this winter

After the end of the summer transfer window and a few days after the official signing of Adrien Rabiot, a bombshell on the transfer market fell: OM dreams of signing Mykhailo Mudryk this winter. Information that could seem false as a transfer of the Ukrainian striker to seems improbable. As a reminder, Mudryk joined Chelsea in January 2023 for the XXL sum of 70 million euros, excluding bonuses, and is under contract with the Blues until… June 2031.

OM and De Zerbi on the move

Of course, and according to information revealed by TeamTalk a few days ago, OM would like to recruit the Ukrainian on loan. Which already seems more plausible. In any case, Roberto De Zerbi is a fan of the player and the latter is also a fan of the Italian coach. The two protagonists have already covered each other in praise in the past.

For a few days now, this rumor has not resurfaced, but it could well be revived in the coming hours. Indeed, according to Football Insider, Mykhailo Mudryk is getting closer and closer to leaving London this winter. Different sources indicate to the English media that the Ukrainian will have too much trouble getting playing time this season and should not be able to reverse the trend.

Mudryk is downgraded at Chelsea

The 23-year-old has been a substitute in the Blues’ last two Premier League games. He is only content with European Cup and FA Cup games. In addition, this summer wingers with the same profile as him such as Jadon Sancho and Pedro Neto arrived and now already seem above him in the hierarchy.

“According to some sources, the Ukrainian international could be forced to find a place to stay in January in order to be able to play regularly in the first team again,” we can read in the Football Insider article. A loan departure during the next winter transfer window therefore seems the most plausible given the Ukrainian’s contract and his plummeting market value. OM could therefore welcome him and Roberto De Zebri could revive his protégé. To be continued…

Passionate about sports and from , I am of course a supporter of the great TFC, which has more titles than OM and OL combined over the last ten years.
