FC outclasses and becomes leader

FC was not up to par against FC this Tuesday evening, led by Cheikh Sabaly and his hat-trick, for the 6th day of Ligue 2 BKT. In the end: a clean sheet, six goals, a place at the top and a status as the last undefeated team. The perfect evening.

New day of the championship, this time during the week, to deviate a little from the current conflicts between the supporters and the broadcaster concerning the programming of this Ligue 2 BKT. For FC Metz, it is time to welcome the first promoted team of its calendar: FC Martigues. For the occasion, Stéphane Le Mignan has decided to make many changes to his starting eleven with the starting line-up of Lô, Colin, Ablie Jallow and Simon Elisor. On the Metz bench, we find Morgan Bokele and a certain Benjamin Stambouli.

FC Metz decided to start this match strong, but did not know how to make the difference. However, it only took one name to turn a match around this season: that of Cheikh Sabaly. The number 14 decided, just after half an hour of play, to intercept a pass from Sibylle to eliminate the goalkeeper and scored his fifth goal of the season (35th, 1-0). An action that cracked Martigues. Two minutes later, Gauthier Hein, on a free kick, found Papa Diallo. The latter wisely decided to pass in one touch to Matthieu Udol, alone, to make the break (37th, 2-0). While we thought we would stop there, Sabaly continued to prove us wrong. The Senegalese recovered a perfect cross from Udol to slip the ball into the back of the goal (45th + 3, 3-0). FC Metz thus took off and could return to the locker room all smiles.

Game, set and match for FC Metz

After the break, the wait is not really long to find some thrills and the warmth of the celebration. Launched by Papa Diallo, Simon Elisor favors the status of passer in favor of the achievement of Cheikh Sabaly, who with a diving header, scores the first hat-trick of his career (47th, 3-0). In this evening that seems perfect, FC Metz unfolds. Matthieu Udol, also writes a new chapter in his history with the Grenats with the first double of his career that he himself went to get by deceiving Aymes with a heavy strike (70th, 5-0). Now it’s time for the substitutes. Expected at the turning point at the start of the season, Ibou Sané finally reveals himself. The number 9 crosses the Martigues team and reminds us that the Open is starting soon by scoring the sixth goal of this match (81st, 6-0). The evening is simply perfect. With the other results of this sixth day, the Grenats finally settle on the podium. Better still, Stéphane Le Mignan’s players take the lead in the championship before a trip to , bottom of the table.
