disrupted traffic on the A10 motorway

Traffic on the A10 motorway, towards Blois (Loir-et-Cher) has been very difficult near Monnaie (Indre-et-Loire), shortly after the A28 motorway interchange, since 5:40 p.m. Friday April 26, 2024. A heavy goods vehicle and a van collided in circumstances which have yet to be determined.

The heavy goods vehicle, which was traveling in the direction of Bordeaux, crossed the safety rail and came to rest on the emergency lane of the opposite lane. The van lay down on the central reservation, across the tracks.

Road users traveling in the direction of Paris are invited to leave the A10 motorway at exit no. 20 Vouvray to join the secondary network, via the national 10. For those traveling in the opposite direction, towards Bordeaux, it is advisable to take exit no. 18 Château-Renault.

At 6:30 p.m., traffic was still very disrupted. In the direction of Paris, a traffic jam of several kilometers, going as far as Tours, had already formed before the accident. In the other direction, traffic difficulties were reported at the Monnaie toll.
