MotoGP. The starting grid of the sprint race and the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix

Like two weeks ago, on the same circuit but for the Grand Prix of San Marino, the Italian Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) took pole position on the Misano track, for the Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna. On home soil, the two-time reigning world champion set a new circuit record (1’30” 031) and will start from first place in the sprint race this Saturday (3 p.m.) and then in the main race, Sunday 22 September at 1 p.m.

The only one who can keep up with the pace of the number 1, Jorge Martin (Prima Pramac Racing) will start from second place after having conceded two tenths to his main competitor for the world crown (+ 0”214). It is another Italian, Enea Bastianini (Ducati Lenovo Team), who completes the front row (+ 0”533). Having fallen in qualifying, Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP), the third in the world championship, will start seventh (+ 0”849). Ninth and seventeenth, the French Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team) and Johann Zarco (CASTROL Honda LCR) are starting from a long way back but will try to score points. Note that Álex Rins, feverish, will not participate in the rest of the weekend.
