GF38 week is fruitful. The Grenoble footballers had started it by clearly dominating a feverish Caennais on Monday evening, they followed it up by beating Martigues 4-0 on Friday evening on the pitch of the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, where the Provençaux are relocating their home matches due to the lack of a stadium approved for Ligue 2. Inevitably with a sparse crowd, the atmosphere is affected and Grenoble did not hold back from weighing it down a little more by making short work of the promoted one.
Four goals scored in the second half at 11 against 10
It must be said that Martigues made things easier for GF38 when Solvet was sent off at the end of the first half for a nasty foul on Théo Valls. A numerical superiority that GF38 was able to make the most of, opening the scoring through Alan Kerouedan (his first goal in a Grenoble jersey) in the 55th minute. Behind, the Provençaux collapsed, with Lenny Jospeh (60th), Nolan Mbemba (63rd) and Pape Meissa Ba (70th) making the score heavier.
This is the 3rd victory in 5 days Ligue 2 for GF38, now 3rd in the standings. Grenoble will travel again, and again in the south next Tuesday with a match in Ajaccio.
