In Val-d’Or, a man who was working on a Hydro-Québec site succumbed to his injuries following an accident on Thursday morning. The accident occurred shortly before 8:45 a.m.
According to the Sûreté du Québec, the 44-year-old victim was electrocuted.
According to our preliminary information, the victim, a 44-year-old man from Val-d’Or, received a shock [électrique] while he was working on board a nacelle. Resuscitation maneuvers were undertaken on site and he was transported to the hospital center
explains Nancy Fournier, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
The Sûreté du Québec and the Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CNESST) will try to understand the circumstances of the accident.
