THE Rennes square, Rennes trade and crafts network, launches the 6th edition of Living streets, “a festival of traders to rediscover its city center”.

In total, 95 shops from Rennes will participate in the event, Saturday, September 28, 2024. “That’s ten more than in 2023,” announces Laurence Taillandier, president of the traders’ association.

The aim of this event is to“to bring the city center to life as much as possible with the aim of bringing another perspective to businesses.”

Massages, tastings, vouchers…

And for that, the Carré Rennais will “create little buzz to surprise visitors” with unusual actions to make the stores attractive.

For example, “there will be tastings in unusual places,” continues Laurence Taillandier.

An artist behind the poster

Behind the colorful characters on the flashy pink poster for Rues vivantes is Aurélie Guillerey, a book illustrator from Rennes.
“He’s not someone who comes from advertising,” says Laurence Taillandier. Already at the origin of the Rues vivantes 2023 poster and that of the sale, “we had the idea of creating posters to collect to make like a comic book where we follow these characters.”

In around thirty stores, good deals will be up for grabs with promotions, exceptional discounts and end of line items, such as at Pépit’A Rennes, Simone Perele, Giorgio and Coton et lin.
