Real Madrid are huge fans of ‘impressive’ Chelsea player but are waiting to be convinced to move for him

Real Madrid really like one Chelsea player but are keen for him to do something before making a move for his signing.

Real Madrid already have an incredible squad, which consists of the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior and former Chelsea star Antonio Rudiger.

However, the European champions are never content and now appear to be considering a current Chelsea player.

Chelsea did a bit of business with Real Madrid last summer, allowing Kepa Arrizabalaga to move to the Spanish club on loan. Kepa wanted to join Real Madrid, but the opportunity never presented itself and the 29-year-old has now signed for Bournemouth temporarily instead.

What could prevent Reece James from Real Madrid move?

Reece James has been linked to Carlo Ancelotti’s side before, and they have seen what he can do up close after some encounters in the Champions League.

According to HITC, Real Madrid are huge fans of the right-back and are thinking about making a move for him.

However, the same outlet claims that before the La Liga outfit make a swoop for the 24-year-old, they want him to prove his fitness first.

James has struggled to stay fit for the last few years now. He is currently out injured and Chelsea won’t rush James back.

Would Chelsea consider selling Reece James to Real Madrid?

Again, James has had so many injury problems over the last few seasons, managing to make just 11 appearances in the previous campaign.

He is obviously a really good footballer. “It’s very impressive how decisive he is,” former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was once quoted as saying by the Evening Standard when discussing James.

However, when you consider his injury record, wages and the fact that the club’s owners have no problem with getting rid of products of the academy, it would not be a complete shock if James was eventually sold.

One of their own and club captain, Chelsea supporters will be hoping that it does not come down to that.
