Morocco in September, “an ideal destination” for this time of year (French magazine)

– Morocco in September and even more generally in autumn is “an ideal destination” for this time of year which never disappoints visitors, writes the French magazine “Quand partir” on Tuesday.

“Indeed, there are always plenty of good reasons to go there and enjoy this country that is still so endearing,” the French media outlet emphasizes in an article entitled “September, the ideal month for a trip to Morocco.”

In this article, the magazine notes that Morocco offers “a pleasant and mild climate” for the traveler, while highlighting the varied climatic conditions of the different regions of the country.

“Compared to previous months, temperatures really start to drop in September, making September one of the best, if not the best, weather-wise for visitors to the entire country,” the publication notes.

The author of the article also indicates that the Kingdom welcomes a significant number of tourists each year, with a record of 14.5 million arrivals in 2023, both visitors and people from the Moroccan diaspora abroad.

“As you might expect, summer is a very busy time, especially on the coast, but the flow of people begins to drop off in the first days of September,” the newspaper continues.

According to the publication, “by choosing this time of year for your visit, you can better enjoy the cities (including Marrakech in particular) and the sites, all more peacefully while also benefiting from more attractive rates for accommodation and activities.”

And to emphasize that Morocco offers a great variety of landscapes, from the Sahara desert to the Atlas Mountains via the Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts, and in autumn the landscapes are beautiful in many places.

Thus, “in the Atlas Mountains where hiking, the cedar and oak forests are adorned with warm hues ranging from orange-yellow to deep red, while the autumn rains bring many valleys to life, creating green and refreshing landscapes,” marvels the author of the article.

“Even the oases seem to come back to life at this time of year with these palm groves which dress in their most beautiful colors, thus contrasting with the surrounding desert,” continues the media, emphasizing that autumn is also a period rich in cultural and traditional events in Morocco.
