. An 18-year-old seriously injured in an accident in Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert

It was 4:01 p.m. this Tuesday when emergency services were called to intervene on the Chambles road, near the place called Les Bréats.

At the scene, a white Peugeot reduced to a wreck was stuck on the side of the road. Inside were two young men, one aged 18 and the other 17. While the minor, originally from Saint-Marcellin-en-Forez, was able to get out of the vehicle on his own, the same was not true for the driver, who had to be freed.

The car stopped by the embankment

The two young men were driving towards Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert and, for an unknown reason, as they came out of a bend, the driver from Chambles lost control of his vehicle. The car then rolled over before being stopped by the embankment.

A total of sixteen firefighters from the barracks of Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert, Andrézieux-Bouthéon, Sury-le-Comtal and Saint-Étienne la Terrasse took part in the rescue operations with the gendarmerie of Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert.

The driver’s life did not appear to be in danger.

The SAMU took care of the two young victims on the spot before the ambulances transported them to the North hospital. According to official information, the driver’s life did not appear to be in danger.

During the intervention, the D108 was closed to traffic and created traffic jams until the car was removed,
