Pascal Obispo, Laura Smet… These stars who found refuge in Cap-Ferret

If the Côte d’Azur has often been the favorite place of stars, over the years, the destination seems to have changed. Indeed, more and more celebrities decide to spend their summer holidays at Cap-Ferret. But this destination has become so trendy that the overcrowding of the place is more and more complicated to bear. This is what Pascal Obispo denounces Friday September 13 on Europe 1. He who owns a magnificent villa on the coast of the Arcachon basin explains that in fifty years, the place has changed a lot. “Don’t come to Cap-Ferret anymore, that would be good because it has become something else, it’s a bit complicated…”says the singer. “It’s a beautiful place, but it’s hell, I don’t leave my house anymore.”

If Pascal Obispo has spent his summer in this corner of since he was a child, others discovered the region much later. This is the case of Marion Cotillard and Guillaume Canet. The couple owns a house in Cap-Ferret and comes there regularly with their children. It is also there that the actor taught his son Marcel to surf. Every year, the two movie stars do not hesitate to invite their friends like Gilles Lellouche or Jean Dujardin. Another famous couple to set down their suitcases on the coast is Laurent Delahousse and Alice Taglioni. Every summer, Swann and Lino’s parents like to return to their haven of peace, a magnificent house nestled between the dunes and pine trees.

Laura Smet: her many family summers in Cap-Ferret

If Johnny Hallyday always loved spending time on the island of Saint-Barthélemy, he also enjoyed relaxing in on the shores of Cap-Ferret. Indeed, the Taulier spent several summers in the Arcachon basin with Sylvie Vartan, in the 1960s and 1970s, then with his children. Today, it seems that his daughter Laura Smet likes to return there. She also inherited a house located two minutes from the beach. “Living in Cap-Ferret regenerates me, I pass on my love of nature to my son and I met authentic people there like Benoît Bartherotte, a spiritual father who taught me a lot and who fights, like me, for the protection of the coastal point”she confides to Madame Figaro in 2021.
