The PSG coach was effusive about Girona and his coach, whom he faces this Wednesday in the Champions League. And he knows that he will not deny himself for his debut in the league phase.

“I never thought I would face Girona in the Champions League,” said Luis Enrique. “But I watched almost all of Girona’s games last season and from what I saw, they were the best team in Spain with a coach who makes his team play incredible football with good use of the ball and very strong pressure on the opponent.”
And Luis Enrique sings an ode to Michel Sanchez, the coach of Girona. “I am a big big fan”. On Wednesday, “he will receive his award, he will play the Champions League against a big club, in a legendary stadium of the European Cups and I congratulate them for their last season”.
“A lot of fun watching them play”
Luis Enrique admitted that he “enjoys watching Girona play”. “I like young coaches who have the courage to play in attack and who dare to use the ball to hurt the opponent”.
And the PSG coach imagines that Girona will not put the bus in front of its goal this Wednesday at the Parc des Princes. “Knowing them, I think they will attack, they will be courageous and they will want to have fun. They are not going to change model because they lost against Barça who were above all very good”, this Sunday in La Liga (1-4).
And in a final pirouette of which he has the secret, Luis Enrique said he wished “the best to Girona in this Champions League… but against the others, not against us”.
