American rapper P. Diddy, the target of several complaints of sexual assault, has been arrested

P. Diddy is the subject of several complaints for sexual assault. The American rapper, Sean Combs by his real name, was arrested Monday, September 16 in Manhattan, announced the New York justice system. Diddy's attorney, Marc Agnifilo, said in a statement sent to AFP that his client was in the city “voluntarily,” having moved there. His side is “disappointed by the decision of the United States Attorney's Office to continue what we believe to be an unfair prosecution of Mr. Combs,” he added. Diddy, 54, is described by his alleged victims as a violent sexual predator who used alcohol and drugs to gain their submission.

P. Diddy targeted by nine complaints

The rapper has been the target of a complaint from a former porn actress, Adria English, for sexual assault since early July. She accuses the businessman of using her “as a sexual pawn for the pleasure and financial benefit of others” during parties in the Hamptons, New York, and Florida, between 2004 and 2009. In total, nine complaints have been filed against the rapper since November 2023.

In one of them, filed in November, his former girlfriend and singer “Cassie” Ventura accuses him of having engaged in “violent” and “deviant” behavior for a decade. In a video published in May dating from 2016, he is seen lashing out at the singer. The case was settled “amicably” in a confidential agreement. Sean Combs has until now strongly denied the accusations against him.
