Republicans place their expectations on Michel Barnier's desk

What ministerial portfolios for the right? The President of the Senate, Gérard Larcher, and the two leaders of the LR parliamentary groups, Laurent Wauquiez and Bruno Retailleau, were received Monday at Matignon, in the final stretch before the presentation of the new government, scheduled for this week.

Assured of LR support, Michel Barnier had to enlighten the elected representatives of his political family on the way in which he intends to deal with the country's political emergencies and keep the promised orientations. It was difficult to imagine that at this stage of the reflection the Prime Minister would refrain from addressing the question of the ministries where the right could play a role.
