Sean 'Diddy' Combs arrested for sexual battery in Manhattan

American rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs – also known as Puff Daddy – has been arrested by Manhattan police after multiple complaints of sexual battery were filed against him. The New York Justice Department has announced. “Federal agents arrested Sean Combs on an indictment filed in the Southern District of New York,” said U.S. Attorney Damian Williams, adding that details of the charges are expected to be released this morning.

Diddy's attorney, Marc Agnifilo, said in a press release that his client was “voluntarily” in the city, where he has settled. His camp is “disappointed by the decision of the United States Attorney's Office to pursue what we believe to be an unfair legal proceeding against Combs,” Agnifilo added. Diddy, 54, has been described by his alleged victims as a sexually violent predator who used alcohol and drugs to gain their submission. Since early July, the rapper has been the target of a sexual battery complaint from former porn actress Adria English. In total, nine complaints have been filed against the rapper since November 2023. In one of them, his ex-girlfriend 'Cassie' Ventura accuses him of having engaged in “violent” and “deviant” behavior for a decade. Sean Combs has so far staunchly denied all the accusations, which have followed him since the 1990s despite never having received any major convictions.
