Awarded at the fiction festival, the event series of the 2 back-to-school season is arriving this evening

The historical series “Fortune de ” arrives on France 2 on September 16, opposite “Brocéliande” on TF1 and “L'amour est dans le pré” on M6.

This 2024 TV season, France 2 is broadcasting its historical event series, “Fortune de France”, adapted from the literary saga of the same title by Robert Merle. The fiction arrives on the air this Monday, September 16 with 2 new episodes, facing the launch of “Brocéliande” on TF1 with Nolwenn Leroy and following season 19 of “L'amour est dans le pré” on M6. An arrival that coincides with the coronation as best actors of Guillaume Gouix, Nicolas Duvauchelle during the 26th Fiction Festival of which ended this Saturday, September 14, 2024.

“Fortune de France” is a series in 6 episodes of 52 minutes, created by Christophe Thompson, who also signs the direction. Director of “Bus Palladium” and “Tendre et saignant” for the cinema, on TV, he co-signs, with his mother, Danièle Thompson, the series “Bardot” for France 2.

With “Fortune de France”, Christopher Thompson adapts for the small screen the historical epic of the same title by the writer Robert Merle. A literary saga in 13 volumes, published between 1977 and 2003, whose story extends from 1547 to the beginning of the reign of Louis XIV. The director tells the story of France from the wars of religion to the 16th century.
