A dramatic merry-go-round accident occurred on a leisure island in Cap d’Agde, in Hérault, on Sunday August 6. Around two in the morning, a 17-year-old lost his life on a giant swing, more than 60 meters high.
The young man had boarded the ride “Adrenaline” Luna Park. The two victims were attached to a rubber band, stuck in a harness and head forward. At 60 meters high, they are thrown down at more than 100 km/h. The accident took place at the time of this screeningaround two o’clock in the morning.
According to information from Free lunchthe 17-year-old could have hit, with its head, one of the very large poles located on each side of the attraction. The young woman who accompanied him was seriously injured and had to be airlifted to Montpellier hospital. An investigation has been opened by the Bézier prosecutor’s office to understand what may have happened. The park will remain closed for the duration of the investigations.
