Decryption – The two suspects, aged 16 and 17, had been presented to a judge in October for another case. They were free while waiting for their judgment, the current law not allowing to order immediate appearance in this case.

The facts are stubborn, tragic, and always end up catching up with policies. This weekend, the death of Elias, 14, stabbed by two recessive recidivist teenagers of 16 and 17, testifies sadly.

Both were known to the justice of Parisian minors, one for thefts, extortion with violence and wearing stabbing, the other for violence and meeting flights. For these facts, they had been presented to a judge on October 30, 2024. They had benefited, like all minors, from the criminal caesura, a procedure in two stages which dissociates the hearings of guilt and sanction. An educational measure can be taken between the two to give minors delinquent a chance to recover – in this case, they were only forbidden to come into contact with each other. The final judgment of the two suspects was thus set in June 2025.
