Hundreds of Lebanese are trying to return to the south of the country
Hundreds of inhabitants in southern Lebanon were trying this morning to return to their villages, despite the presence of the Israeli forces which fired in their direction. AFP correspondents have seen convoys of dozens of cars, brandishing the yellow flags of Lebanese Hezbollah, converging on several villages.
The Israeli army was to finish its withdrawal from the south of the country today by virtue of a cease-fire agreement ending its war with the Hezbollah pro-Iranian movement, but it rejected this deadline.
