Nintendo officially announced the Switch 2 on January 16, and through the first trailer, the company gave a detailed look at the portable gaming console. Now, while the video showcased the design and some of its capabilities, Many aspects of the device still remain a mystery, including the price.
Some recent leaks suggest a launch price of $449, however, and a European retailer just released the pre-order price for the gaming handheld. This listing comes from GamesandMovies.ite, and according to that site, the Switch 2 can be pre-ordered priced at €364.99 in Italy.
That works out to about $383, but if this pre-order price is legitimate, the handheld could very well be pre-ordered for $350 in the US. After all, consoles are generally cheaper in the US than in most other regions (Z1 Extreme ROG Ally currently $449.99 at Best Buy). However, this purported retailer listing also appears to indicate an introductory price of $400.
-It is interesting that before the game console became official, a large number of at first glance serious information about it was based on leaks, so it is possible that the Italian retailer will do the same . In other words, it is very likely that this is a provisional price, and it is quite a tactic for GamesandMovies.it to make this move when it is already accepting pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 .
The good news is that official pricing details may not be far away, as the company is expected to share more information about the Switch 2 during the Nintendo Direct. For those who don’t know, this event is scheduled for April 2.
