A major emergency system has been deployed this Friday morning, boulevard Lafayette in Calais.
They were called around 10:30 a.m. to a suspicious smell of gas. The carbon monoxide detector went off in the home help service offices.
The offices, in which four people were located, were evacuated. Three people present in the homes of the building also had to leave their accommodation.
-Firefighters from Calais, Marck and Marquise were dispatched. The strong smell of gas actually came from the cellar of this home.
The police and GRDF were on site. A security perimeter has been set up.
After an assessment of the seven people involved, the three occupants of the homes returned to their homes as well as the four office staff, who will still work remotely this afternoon as a safety measure.
