The Bavarian film prize was again awarded to Prinzregentheater, marking a major cinema event in Munich this weekend.
The award of the Bavarian film prize took place in the Prinzregentheater in Munich. Following the violent act which occurred in Aschaffenburg, who caused the death of two people, presenter Sandra Rieß said that there were doubts about the maintenance of the ceremony. However, in collaboration with the State Chancellery, it was decided to maintain the event.

In total, the “Pierrot” price was awarded in eleven categories. This year, the winners of the price of 10,000 euros for the best main players are Jella Haase for his role in “Chantal Im Märchenland” and Christoph Maria Herbst, who was rewarded for his performances in three films: “Der Buchspazierer”, ” Der Spitzname “and” Ein Fest Fürs Leben “.

Aron Arens’ “Sonnenplätze” film was chosen best film from a young man, while “Woodwalkers” won the prize in the entertainment category. The prize for the best realization was awarded to Ayşe Polat for his film “Im Toten Winkel”, and Mareike Engelhardt was recognized as a young talent of the year for “Rabia”.
Judith Kaufmann received the prize for the best direction of photography for “Die Herrlichkeit des Lebens”, while Matthias Glasner was distinguished for the best scenario with “Sterben”. Each of these five winners also received a porcelain figure from the “Pierrot” and 10,000 euros.
-The prize for documentary film is shared this year between Hans Block and Moritz Riesewieck for “Eternal You”, each receiving 5,000 euros.

The Bavarian film prize has been awarded since 1979 and is considered one of the most prestigious distinctions in Germany. Before Uschi Glas, personalities such as Veronica Ferres, Michael “Bully” Herbig, Sönke Wortmann, Martina Gedeck, Heiner Lauterbach and Hannelore Elsner were also honored with the Minister-President Honorary Prize.
And this Saturday, Munich will continue to shine with Glamor, because the Deutsche Filmball is planned.
