Since Joshua Roy is unable to participate in the American Hockey League All-Star Game due to his upper body injury, his Laval Rocket teammate Owen Beck will replace him for this event which will be held on February 2 and 3 in Coachella Valley.
Beck, who was recently traded to the Rocket by the Montreal Canadiens, will accompany Logan Mailloux to California as the Rocket’s representatives during the event.
In his first year as a professional, Beck currently ranks third in team scoring with 25 points in 38 games (9 goals and 16 assists) and first among rookies. The 20-year-old forward was selected by the Canadiens in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2022 NHL draft. The striker has played two matches this season with the Tricilore.
Each of the four AHL divisions will be represented by 12 players. The rosters were determined by AHL coaching committees and all 32 teams in the circuit are represented by at least one star.
