Intensification of attacks on southern Ukraine

The Russian army has intensified its attacks on southern Ukraine in recent months and multiplied its strikes, notably on Zaporijjia, a city which had 700,000 inhabitants before the war.

It also continues its offensive on the Donetsk region and that of Kharkiv, where the Ukrainian authorities ordered the evacuation of children and their families from several localities on Thursday.

While the Russian offensive is due to enter its fourth year at the end of February, the two camps have been endeavored in recent times to maximize their positions with a view to returning to power by US President Donald Trump.
