Death of Bénédicte Belair: eight years later, the gendarme in charge of the investigation indicted for forgery
Slowly but surely, the tangle is unraveling in the case of the death of Bénédicte Belair, whose body was discovered on April 4, 2017 at her home in Pont-Sainte-Maxence (Oise). Suspicions of a botched, or even deliberately sabotaged, investigation became clearer with the indictment of the gendarme acting as director of the investigation at the time of the events.
The ex-soldier, who now lives in the south of France, was indicted for “forgery in public documents by a person holding public authority”, which is confirmed by a document that we were able to consult.
