This 25-minute short film on the history of Bumidom (Bureau for the development of migrations affecting overseas departments) by Bénédicte Bonheur and directed by Amingo Thora is being filmed in Martinique. The film cost almost 200,000 and hired around forty local actors.

Le jour des Cendres, an auteur film co-written and co-directed by Bénédicte Bonheur and Amingo Thora, tells the story of two sisters, who left for France to work. One flourished, the other committed suicide. The story begins when the eldest returns to Martinique to bury her younger daughter.
To find the period house and all the decoration. It took the team almost three months.

The project aims to highlight the entire Caribbean with around forty local actors and a budget of almost 200,000 euros.
The film aims to give a voice to all the women who were not able to be heard at that time. Once completed, the team hopes to broadcast it at several festivals and local television stations.
